Vanderlande

We gaan met Cover naar Van der Lande! Van der Lande is een innovatief bedrijf dat zich o.a. bezig houdt met de systemen die ervoor zorgen dat de bagage op een vliegveld correct wordt afgehandeld. We verzamelen om 8:50 op het CS Groningen bij de Broodzaak en vertrekken iets over 9.

Het programma ziet er als volgt uit:

13:00 - 13:15 Ontvangst
13:15 - 14:15 Algemene Presentatie
14:15 - 15:45 Rondleiding Innovation Center en fabriek
15:45 - 16:00 Afsluiting

Gast college simulatie. Jullie krijgen een verhaal vanuit één specifieke discipline binnen Vanderlande (Simulatie), toegespitst op een aansprekend actueel project (Schiphol Backbone).
Uiteraard kunnen wel vragen gesteld worden over andere disciplines.

The Backbone project is part of the 70mb program with the goal to increase the annual capacity to 70 million bags. Backbone is the name for the baggage handling system that will provide a link between the various baggage handling areas at Schiphol. Currently baggage is transported with tugs between various terminals. When operational in 2013, the Backbone will create one integrated system. This provides a lot of flexibility, reduces manual transport with tugs and increases redundant capacity.
The Schiphol Backbone project is currently in the execution phase. The design phase was heavily supported by simulation. This simulation study was executed in close cooperation with system architects of Vanderlande, Schiphol as owner of the system and KLM as main user.

Waarschijnlijk gaan we met zn allen daar eten; De terugreis vindt plaats na het eten. Reken er op rond kwart over 10 tot 11 uur weer op het CS in groningen te zijn.
