Our sister study association USCKI Incognito in Utrecht organises the following symposium:

Nowadays computers are gaining more and more power. They can answer the more complex questions in society. Artificial Intelligence and USCKI Incognito is growing with them, so it's time for our annual symposium. Thanks to computers more and more things are doable, and actually we're not yet aware of all the possibilities. We can try to change this.

So, why not simulate society? The craziest things will be visualized and we'll be able to gain insight to many processes. We can learn a lot from simulations, from all kinds of them. This symposium on Simulation and Society will bring you from a simulation of the human mind to a simulation of a social network, from language acquisition to a driving simulator. Subjects will be the STRESS project of Tibor Bosse, serious games, agent learning, and more. Also there will be a moment to control a simulation yourself in the workshops.

The moderator will be Marco Wiering. The day will be introduced with a philosophical approach, to be followed by more practical and scientific implementations. At the end of the day there will be a discussion, followed by a drink.
