GeoTAD - Working with Geodata
The Geodienst is a department within the RUG's Centre for Information Technology working with geodata. They provide support for students and staff with geodata, geographic information systems, performing spatial analysis and solving spatial problems. Some of their recent projects have included the Portable Antiques of the Netherlands which archives objects found by the public with metal detectors. They are also working on creating indoor maps of buildings and intricate navigation systems for small distances.
During the TAD, the Geodienst will talk about how they work with geodata and how you can get involved. Time to boldly geo where no one else has gone before: the GeoTAD!
