Knowledge-based Algorithm for Multi-Agent Communication or, How can
you direct all the members of a group of friends to the same pub?.
Successful cooperate problem solving (CPS) within multi-agent systems
(MAS), requires reliable one-on-group communication to attain an
approximation of common belief among the agents cooperating in a team.
Informally, you want to go to a specific pub with a group of friends, but
these friends only want to go if they know that everybody else from the
group goes. The main problem for the communication involved in these CPS
processes is to attain general group knowledge. After having solved this
problem for the sequence transmission problem, adjustments were made which
resulted in a CPS specific knowledge-based algorithm for one-on-group
communication. Further research has been done to investigate the
feasibility of implementing this CPS algorithm in the Internet protocol
architecture.
