Joscha Bach addresses the Rug AI/CS class of 2020
Joscha Bach is a cognitive scientist that has studied cognitive architectures focusing on human emotion and behaviour. He is currently a member of AI Foundation, an Artificial Intelligence company that develops ethical Artificial Intelligent agents. He has researched diverse topics including a novel data compression algorithm using concurrent entropy models; development of microPsi cognitive architecture for modelling emotion, motivation, and mental representation.
Before joining AI Foundation, he worked as a visiting researcher at the MIT Media Lab and the Harvard Program for Evolutionary Dynamics.
He is also a proliferous speaker in AI and cognitive science-related topics and you can find plenty of hours of his super interesting talks and conversations filled with juicy insight into his marvellous mind.
