The first annual Groningen Algorithm Programming Competition (GAPC).

At the GAPC, students from the RUG and the Hanze will work in teams to solve a set of problems. The team that solves the most problems within the time limits will take home the RUG cup! The competition will be hosted at the Bernoulliborg on the 7th of May.

The competition is aimed at students of all skill levels. The only requirements are proficiency in a general-purpose programming language and an interest in problem-solving. You can sign up alone or with a team through the link below.

The day will start at 11:00 with an introductory talk by the new competitive programming committee FCG, followed by talks from guest speakers about the relevance of competitive programming within the field.

After the talks, there will be lunch, and the study landscape will open to allow the teams to set up their equipment. Each team needs to bring one laptop with a suitable development environment.

The competition itself will run from 13.00 until 17.00 in the study landscape. After the competition, the winners will be announced, and there will be pizza for dinner provided by the FCG committee. This is also a chance to network with fellow students and guest speakers alike.
